Jasmine the Palomino Shetland    2003-2025

It all started with Jasmine!  She came to RiverMusic Ranch as a weanling in 2003.  The following year, her sister Ginger joined us.

Jasmine loved children, and they loved her back.  She taught many children to love horses and to ride.  Around 2015, Jasmine developed Cushings disease, and her riding days were over.  She still taught children as long as she could walk--how to groom, pick hooves, scratch in the right places, and feed with a flat hand.  There was never a day when Jasmine didn't respond to children wanting to love on her.

Her passing left an empty spot in the pasture and in many hearts.  The children who loved her contributed many photos for this page.
